Kane Plantation is a 16 acre working organic farm. The elevation rises from 1100 feet to 1360 feet and is ideal for growing tropical fruits. Our main crops are Sharwil avocados and Macadamia nuts and the avocado harvest season runs from November to April each year. Guests are welcome to explore and enjoy the farm during their stay.

We grow a wide range of seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs which we serve at the guesthouse, including:

Avocado, Oranges, Pomelo, Tangerine, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lime, Mandarin, Pineapple, Lilikoi, Papaya, Mango, Star Fruit, Lychee, Longan, Fig, Banana, Cherimoya, Atemoya, Coconut, and Cacao.

Kane Plantation Farm...

In 1995 we moved from our home in Canberra Australia to Washington DC USA to begin a diplomatic assignment at the Embassy of Australia. The 2 year assignment became 16 years, with Michael working at the Embassy and David working for the US Department of State. In 2011 we made the decision to leave Washington and move to our new home in Hawaii. As the new owners of Kane Plantation we are proud to honor the legacy of Herb Kawainui Kane and share with you the special gift that Herb created on Hawaii Island.

Please contact us if you have any questions, or if you need help planning your vacation and making travel arrangements. Michael is a certified and licensed travel agent and can assist with all your travel needs. We look forward to welcoming you to the Historic Kane Plantation for an unforgettable vacation experience.
